AZ Factory: Honoring Alber Elbaz’s Legacy
AZ Factory wowed with a vibrant collection that paid homage to the late Alber Elbaz, its visionary founder. The collection celebrated life, color, and the strong bond with Elbaz. Designed by the label’s in-house talent, Norman René Devera and Peter Movrin, the Spring/Summer 2024 collection exuded joy, femininity, and elegance. It featured dresses in duchess satin, taffeta, silk, and muslin, radiating youthful charm and wearability.
Sacai: Bold Proportions and Effortless Chic
Under Chitose Abe’s creative direction, Sacai presented an impeccable collection for the upcoming summer. The line expertly combined bold proportions with everyday wearability. From shirts and trousers to jackets and dresses, Sacai offered chic yet practical essentials. The color palette focused on classic hues like black, navy blue, and white. Innovative designs added a unique twist, with garments appearing to catch a perpetual breeze, thanks to hidden architectural solutions. Oval-shaped, three-dimensional outfits and cleverly fragmented garments with glimpses of sparkling underwear made a statement. Bold platform-soled boots and statement jewelry completed the looks.
Quira: Embracing Lightness and Deconstruction
Italian designer Veronica Leoni made her Paris Fashion Week debut with Quira. Her collection embraced deconstruction and lightness, foregoing linings and unnecessary embellishments. Blazers and trench coats, crafted from wool and linen fabrics, grazed the skin, occasionally revealing inner structures through thoughtfully placed slits. Leoni’s meticulous attention to detail was evident in torn waistlines and lightweight tunics and suits made from cotton fabrics dyed with minerals, creating a soft pastel aesthetic. In addition to ready-to-wear, Quira showcased a range of exquisitely designed shoes and handbags.
