The Catalan shoe store chain Querol expands its distribution network with an opening in the Gran Jonquera shopping center in Girona. The footwear distribution company has set up shop in a 258-square-meter store.
With the opening of this store, Querol now has 40 stores in Catalonia. Its latest store opened with a corner of Querolets, the children’s division of the chain, and sells the designs of various men’s and women’s brands, from Mustang to Converse, Geox and New Balance.
Querol opened its first shoe store in Barcelona in 1963 and was born as a family business that evolved into a footwear distribution company with a nationwide presence. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, in mid-2021 it resumed its retail expansion.
In this line, one of its latest key moves was the purchase, at the end of 2018, of the Ferreres chain, whose points of sale were integrated into its commercial network of around fifty stores.
