This month, the brand inaugurated its first Canadian store, located in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, marking the beginning of an ambitious expansion plan. The store offers a range of men’s Purple Label and women’s collections, as well as Polo Ralph Lauren men’s and women’s lines. Additionally, it provides exclusive client services, including private styling appointments, alterations, repairs, and made-to-measure tailoring.
This move builds upon Ralph Lauren’s existing footprint in Canada, which includes 12 outlet stores across the country and a substantial wholesale presence in key retailers like Hudson’s Bay, Sporting Life, and Harry Rosen. The company has plans to open several more Ralph Lauren stores in various Canadian cities in the coming years.
Beyond physical retail, Ralph Lauren is launching a dedicated Canadian digital commerce platform, RalphLauren.ca. This platform will feature the complete range of iconic Ralph Lauren brands, including Purple Label, Ralph Lauren Collection, Polo Ralph Lauren, Double RL, and Lauren. Shoppers will find men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel, accessories, footwear, and select home items.
The English version of the Canadian digital commerce site is set to launch on October 11, with the possibility of a French-language version for the province of Quebec in the future.
Bob Ranftl, the regional chief executive officer for North America at Ralph Lauren Corporation, expressed excitement about expanding the brand’s presence in Canada and offering consumers an enhanced and elevated experience that aligns with Ralph Lauren’s luxury lifestyle vision.
Ralph Lauren’s expansion efforts are not limited to North America, as the company is actively working to grow its presence in Asia and Europe as part of its long-term growth and value creation strategy.
